Dear Darrell - this is his Company - hope you can read it. I will also post the full page - but that maybe too small. The book was published immediately after the Siege, by the Town Council and lists everone involved, from all units.

This is a little out of sequence, but I can't add them to the appropriate posts above. Anyway, a little research came in today. Nothing special, but the confirmation of the Clasps to the QSA and the KSA as well as the documents on 3731 PTE. J. CUFLIN. LEICESTER. REGT. Enlstment.

    QSA Clasp Entitlement:

You can never have too much information - apart from the personal knowledge, it adds to the value. The extra info. I promised is being copied and will be sent by post on Monday. Mervyn

Another piece to the puzzle arrived today. A nice Script Engraved QSA to a soldier that served at Belmont and Modder River.

Script Engraved to 2419 SAPR. F. HALE. R.E.

He did two stints in South Africa.

The first with the 31st Company of the Royal Engineers. He was invalided home on 5th June 1900.

On Recovery, he returned and served with the 37th Company of the Royal Engineers. This second stint qualified him for the Transvaal and South Africa 1902 clasps.
