    Gold medals were given to officers and silver medals--as here-to other ranks for the victory at La F?re Champenoise under the coalition command of the then-Crown Prince of W?rttemberg. This was the beginning of the imminent FIRST "end" of Napoleon.

    This is the last one folks from the most recent visit of the Traveling Museum. :cheers:

    While there was only one obverse die, there were 2 for this medal-- below is the 2nd die reverse, and what the entire ancient but incorrect ribbon looks like:
