I lucked up at a recent show and found a medal bar that is attributed to Brigadier L. S. H. Smithers, C.B., 17 th Infantry ( "The Loyal Regiment" ) Indian Army. This is the extent of information provided by the dealer. Eric suggested I use the London Gazette for more information and I am working on that one but have not located this gent yet.
