2xvetran Posted July 12, 2010 Author Share Posted July 12, 2010 This is a strange helmet as it has little or no protective value. It was originally white and painted over in tan. On the inside is an attached gauze roll and a small seahorse marking molded into the shell. It has Arabic script inside and could possibly be an oil workers helmet that was used as this person was pressed into service. This helmet bears a date of 1980 and was just obtained through a friend in Iraq. This jump jacket has all insignia and is complete with a beavertail.
