    Heer Officials Boards/BEAMTE

    Recommended Posts

The only example I have is seen below... the green backing has been heavily ravished by moths, yet the face of the board is in very nice shape. The light blue secondary waffenfarbe was used by the Judicial Officials. IAW "Uniforms and Traditions of the German Army 1933-1945" Vol 2, by Angolia. pg 134

    Lets see yours!

    OK...

The Lt Brown Waffenfarbe could represent one of the following:

    1. Barracks Administrator

    2. A non technical instructor at a professional school.

The Lt Blue is for judical administrators.

The bright red secondary waffenfarbe had MANY possiblities!

    Juan,

    Awesome tunic!

The white secondary waffenfarbe is one of the more common used colors. This Officer could have been:

    1. Food Supply Service

    2. Garrison Administration

    3. All Officials of the medium non-technical career field

    4. Pay Master

    5. Barracks Admin(Lower Career)

    6. Transport Service

    7. Disabled Persons and Veteran's Affairs

    fknorr,

Is the waffenfarbe on your insignia pink or red?

This is what I have for possibilities for the Bright Red Secondary Waffenfarbe(that matches the arty waffenfarbe)

    1. Military Area Administration and Intendant's Servcie

    2. Agricultural Service

    3. Sound Ranging Service

BTW, I am using "Uniforms and Traditions of the German Army" vol 2 by Angolia and Schlicht as a reference for this thread!(Chapter 14!)

There was also an Artillery Ranging Beamte shown too for "bright red"...are these "bright red" or a crimson though...?

It seems like Angolia lists his colors differently than we are used to seeing them.

    For example...

Carmine is known commonly for General staff and Veterinarian. Well, he names the color Crimson.

Weinrot is known commonly for Judicial Officers. He names the color Carmine.

Angolia names the color seen on arty boards as "bright red".

So, with that in mind, I matched the colors and come up with the possiblities of your set.

BTW, your set is very nice! Those upper level sets are hard to come by!

As far as a Artillery Measuring Service, you are correct! I missed it when making my last reply! Thank you for the correction. For some strange reason, he(Angolia) has a (?) next to this entry...

The shoulder straps show the letters HV in white metal for non-officer officials, officials of the reserve (Lt - Major), officials with Generals rank. Yellow metal for active officials with the rank of Leutnant to Obrest. Hope this helps.
