I tried to find more informations about the flag top. Dardesheim is a very small town (not more than 1000 citizens today) in Sachsen-Anhalt. In the same region is Halle (the "Wehrwolf capital") located too. I think is nearly impossible that it has a relation to Braunschweig veterans organizations. Most of those organizations were located in towns and villages near Braunschweig.

I searched for such a flag top in period photos. It was difficult, because it does not exist a lot of photos with flags and the photos are not very sharp. Most of the Wehrwolf flags have only an ordinary spear flag top!

Again I found a result in the photo, where I have already found the "Schwarze Brigade" cuff title in wear.

There is a similar flag top. Notice some details like the left and ride side of the flag top or the cut out parts for example!

It is the first time that I have seen such a flag top in a period photo.

Another item which I have never seen before. A "Vorläufiger Ausweis" (Wehrwolf membership id card).

Strange item! Why? Look at the date! Datum des Eintritts: Ortsgruppe Mainz 06.07.1933!

They still recruted new members in summer 1933!!!!

Here's another swastika with skull............armband as worn by a leader of the 1st SA Company, c. 1923.

If I had seen such an armband in the past, I'm sure that I had earlier bought a swastika armband! :D

The pole top is definitely Wehrwolf, in my opinion. :jumping:

I was in contact with the author of the book "Der Wehrwolf 1923-1933".

We discussed some questions about the Wehrwolf theme and I showed the flag top to him.

He thinks the same. A Wehrwolf flag top!

    Good news.

If anyone will know, it'll be Dietrolf.

I bought a few things from him some years ago...........some Wehrwolf postcards, meetings programmes and a nice 'Wehrwolf Marsch' music sheet with a huge totenkopf on the cover.

    Yes, he is the expert!

PS: He thinks the "Schwarze Brigade" in Sachsen existed only from March to July 1933. In his opinion the Brigade had not more than 268 members!
