Although both (breast star and small medal) have identical inscription on obverse... Flight Medal (a.k.a. Medal of Flying) It was established on August 1, 1935 in two classes (or grades, if you like this word better )1st class2nd class It is awarded for achievement in aviation competitions to officers, soldiers or civilians. I wonder why this sample has number 10 stamped on reverse... Is this simply an example number or is it the actual number of one of these trial medals?! Couldn`t understand the name of the medal that you are bringing as an example (please post it name in English or (even better ) in Russian)...
