Hi all,

I posted this one up a little while back, and recently had some very nice photos shown to me of this very banner in use.

First up, some shots of the Schellenbaum banner again...

And a great contact in Germany (thanks to Frank Q) sent me these photos, also from Uetersen, showing the actual Schellenbaum

banner in use.....

Hi Chris,

It was once there, I believe the museum has re-located to Berlin, and from what I have heard, most of the items that were on display are

now stored away, and the museum is a shadow of what it was when it was at Uetersen.

Bob

Isnt Üterson where the Luftwaffe Museum is?

Fantastic piece!!

Bob. Thanks for sharing those wonderful photos. I really do appreciate the detail of the hand embroidered banners, like the one you have in the OP. They dont make things of that quality for the military anymore.

Rare enough to find these banners in any condition...

What a superb example, Bob. I'm green with envy.

Thanks John.

I have actually just moved this one to Bill Shea (it was once in his personal collection), and has gone back home again !

I have another one which I will post some photos of shortly, slightly better condition than this one, and a rare unit designation.

Cheers

Bob

Hi John

My new Schellenbaum banner is now gracing my collection. I am very thankful to Bill Rannow in the US for allowing me to

be the new owner of this beauty, for Luftflotte 3...

Thanks again Jody, I probably should put the Lfl.Kdo 3 flagge under its own heading perhaps....

Best wishes

Hi Guys

I have had one of these for a good few years. My father brought it back after the war, I thought I would share with you.

What sought of value are they?

To be honest I don't know a great deal about them.

Regards Paul.

I would love to see some close up of the embroidery word.  It looks to be an awesome item.  They are worth a LOT of money, but I cannot give you a good number... but close to 7,000-10,000 dollars?
