JPL Posted August 24, 2013 Share Posted August 24, 2013 Thailand's Permanent Secretary of Defence General Tanongsak Apirakyotin presented the award to Mr Chiang on behalf of the King of Thailand at the Thai Ministry of Defence. Mr Chiang is on an official visit to Thailand from 22 to 25 August. The Thai royal decoration "Knight Grand Cross (first Class) of the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant" was conferred on Mr Chiang in recognition of his valuable contribution to the cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries. Singapore's Defence Ministry said the presentation of the award underscores the close and long-standing defence ties between Singapore and Thailand.
