3. EK2 Spange. Got this little guy from Detlev a few years back. I was pleasently surprised when I started looking a little closer, that he was actually maker marked L/13 on the reverse;

A picture of the elusive maker mark. Very tough to hold back the ribbon and take a picture. Especially with these old shaky hands :rolleyes:

I just received this beautiful set, the spange is a Juncker 2nd model. The chain was put together by Godet and the Schiesler Eagle is stamped Godet 935.

That's the first chain I have seen with the spange/Ek done like that.

This was a system I am surprised was not adopted... the splints are not cut in two, rather soldered on as a loop... the advantage is, you can sew one side of the ribbon on, and just slide this on... then pin other side, then easily remove...
