Here are some of my ribbonbars. All of them are of the D-profile type and i believe they are all real.

Lets start with what i think is a double Red Banner of Labor and a meritious Labor in GPW medal:SovietLaborRB2.jpg.0f42946eaad099eafde9c

Next up is a slightly strange ribbonbar with a Lenin, Red Banner of Labor, and a meritious Labor in GPW:SovietLaborRB3.jpg.ea9025164b84dc2d2a5f0

This one has a Badge of honor:SovietLaborRB5.jpg.63ac6966e2408e2dcb705

Medal for Valiant Labor and Meritious Labor in GPW and Veteran of Labor:SovietLaborRB8.jpg.5479fe61416f5e1579599

    Medal for Valiant Labor:SovietLaborRB7.jpg.48a1da8a4430b6dacf94c

and this one. Okay, its just a Veteran of Labor Medal but i really like it:SovietRB1.jpg.f9adf09cfbedca6f9d37f2099c

    I have this ribbonsbar :)

If you are intersted,I will give some more information. It is my fathers Combat Service Medal Sertificate. He was awarded as an antifascist-member of resistance in Slovak National Uprising. He fought in the partisane unit Čapajev.I think I would be interesting to create a topic about the badges of Slovak units of resistance. In division there is only one-Partisane unit of Jegorov. My father was Slovak, but we lived in Ukraine-USSR from 1947 to 1966.In 1966 my parents returned to Slovakia-ČSSR.He was also the second cousin of Michael Strank.

Thank you for sharing this information.  Your father had an interesting life.  Did he have World War Two service as well?  Was there a paper citation that accompanied the Order of the Red Banner of Labor?

Bill Garvy- Your grouping above is amazing!

My father served in the Slovak Army from 1941 to 1944,he was a driver of a truck in an Artillery Regiment. There are a lot of small photos left. The Slovak Army was fighting against the USSR in coalition with the Nacist Germany. My mother was telling he had also a German Eisen Kreuz.Probably when he was in Slovakia at home on leave the Slovak National Uprising begun and he became a member of resistance. Not only partisans took part in resistance but mainly soldiers of Slovak Army in Middle and Eastern Slovakia begun fighting against the Regime of of Jozef Tiso. There is a lot of info in Wikipedia.

I am repeating the photos of the Order with the Order book-Ordenska knižka.I did not expect my story about my father would be interesting for you.My father was not awarded e.g. with Lenin order. The Order of the Red Flag of Labour is a very common award.

Respectfully, I disagree.  Although there were approximately twice as many Orders of the Red Banner of Labor (~1,200,000) as Orders of the Red Banner (~581,000) awarded, the Red Banner of Labor, which was established as the civilian counterpart to the military/long service Order of the Red Banner, remained the highest labor award bestowed.  Only the Hero of Socialist Labor/Order of Lenin and Order of the October Revolution were preeminent, political considerations notwithstanding.

Nick, thank you very much for sharing your father's impressive array of awards, documents, and compelling history!

As a BCXB/VDNKh collector this image floors me.  I'm assuming medal #1 is a gold one.  That's a 'grail' for me.

My collection is not a group to one man or woman but I am proud of it nonetheless.

Bill, the ORBL is one of my favorite orders.  There is something about the rich enamel and blue ribbon that really distinguish it from all the rest.  I love the wear on that ribbon you shared with us.

Avers8 shows it on the same green ribbon as all the other BCXB medals in the 1939-1958 series.

The 'young participant' medal ribbon switched to blue in 1959 and continued until 1991.

A8 could be wrong.  I'd have to check my Russian sources.

Hi Nick/Mikulas!  I saw that image from the ForumFaleristika thread about VDNKh/BCXB.  We have both posted there at different times.  In my opinion the suspension and blue ribbon is from another award, possibly a gold-grade 1959-65 award.  But the screw base looks odd/different and I'd put that down to there being so many slight variations.

A comparison image if you want to use it.
