    Kriegsmarine Speciality Badges in Wear

    Recommended Posts

Thank you for showing your very nice Fla-E-Messer (AA guns range finder) patch in wear photo.:)

Very hard to find in a photo.

Here are two examples from my collection. One for the blue uniform and the other for the summer uniform.

    Cheers,

    Larry

Here is another photo from my collection.

Two wear Flak Artillerie insignia. The middle person wears the  sperrwaffenmechaniker (Blocking Weapons Mechanic) while the person at right wears the Sperrmann (Mine Foreman) patch under his Flak Artillerie patch.

    Photo dated 3-11-1944.

    Cheers,

    Larry

Very nice photo. I really like photos showing the "Stab" flag patch.

Here is a rare photo from my collection showing a least two men wearing the "V" Administrative patch.

    Cheers,

    Larry

    Thank you very much Morten.:)

Not specialist insignia but insignia worn by WM sport teams. Anchors on shorts: the two at left were worn by enlisted men and NCO's, the one second from right with a border was worn by officers.

    Cheers,

    Larry

Correction: "V" patch is Vermessungsdienst (Surveying Service) not Administration.

Image is still rare My Friend!

    Thank you.:)

The "V" over an anchor is the early Administration patch.

Here is a pic of the two "V" patches. The Vermessungsdienst patch is on its way to me and will soon be

    in my collection.

    Cheers,

    Larry

Here is a recent addition to my collection.

It shows a Bootsmannsmaat wearing the metal version of the Bootsmann patch.

Underneath are the pre-1940 Fla. -E- Messer (AA guns rangefinder operator), Fla. Maschinenwaffenschutz (Gunner anti-aircraft weapons) and bottom is the Sperrvormann (Blockade weapons foreman) badge.

In the photo he has been awarded the EK 2 medal and has earned a Minesweeper badge. He must have seen action early in the war

as he is still wearing pre-1940 trade badges. I guess transition to after 1940 badges took some time to implement.

    Cheers,

    Larry

    Hi Larry!
Very clear and detailed your new picture. Congratulations on your new purchase for your already great collection. I placed more bids on photo but it became too expensive but I'm glad you received the award on your bid.
    Cheers, Morten.
