WWI CEF Trench Mortar Batry Cap Badge Question

Hello,

I dabble in collecting Canadian cap badges with no rhyme or reason, buying ones that I find to be aesthetically pleasing. I found this one on eBay that I was going to bid on but was waiting to bid on it closer to the end of the auction however I saw that the current bid was just over $200USD. My question is; does this badge really command that amount of money or is it just two bidders caught up in a bidding war?  I posted this same question on another forum but thought I would get a quicker response here so I can figure out to bid or not.

I feel your pain!  There are a couple CEF badges I wouyldn't say no to myself but won't be shelling out $X00 for any time soon.
