Eddie Parks Posted February 28, 2017 Share Posted February 28, 2017 Hi Guys I have a friend who is looking at his father's war service. He served in F Sqn/2 Wing the Glider Pilot Regiment. He qualified as a 2nd pilot in May 1944 and a 1st Pilot in July 1945. He was never more than L/Cpl and his trade is shown as "Clerk" He was 5886646 L/Cpl George Edwards. Son says he has 39/45 Star and F&G Star etc. This does not seem logical to me??? Any Suggestions? Eddie Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
coldstream Posted April 26, 2017 Share Posted April 26, 2017 Eddie, Sorry only just seen this post, Seems odd to me that someone would qualify as a Pilot and have a Trade shown as Clerk, will have a dig round and see what I can find out (if anything!)
