I have also a very late war Iron Cross document, signed on 1 May 1945 by generaloberst von Blaskowitz, as commander of the German Forces in the Netherlands during the closing days of the war. Four days later he was signing the instrument of surrender to the Canadian general Foulkes, in a hotel in the eastern part of the Netherlands.
