Hi Bayern

I like it. Reservists - they do look more like men than boys....

cheers

Perhaps they are reservists recalled , It appears as Autumm . the absence of numbers on the helmet covers and the litzen on collar and cuffsmade think in a Garde Unit .

Hi tony,  I venture reservists , early in the war , reserve, by the apparent age . early in the war by the uniforms 1907 1910 and the natural coloured boots and leather items. Garde by the expressed and by the rifles . M1898 .

Hello , the first man wears on the collar of his greatcoat the doppelitzen, double lights of Garde and some technical troops . the number 267 on his SBs ,marks him as belonging to Reserve Infanterie Regiment 267 a unit raised in 1914 from the Infanterie Regiment 14. but the uniform dont carried litzen .  the second man ,seated ,must be a vizefeldwebel , he wears leggings and officers type peaked cap and leather gloves.

Hello!

Unfortunatey you are wrong withb the first one...

RIR 267 was set up by:

Staff: Ers.Btl./Füs.Rgt.34

I.Btl.: Feld-Inf.Btl.34

II.Btl.: Feld-Inf.Btl. 8

III.Btl. Feld-Inf.Btl. 10

The 2.Ers.Btl./Inf.Rgt. 14was only responsible for the Ersatz

BUT!

I see a 261 and not a 267 upon his SB.

RIR 261 was set-up by Garde-Feld-Inf.Rgt. 1, 2 and 3

It had its own Ersatz-Bataillon

So it all fits

Hi Gents

I had actually put these here together because 3 had the numbers on the collar tabs and #3 belongs with #1...

i was going to say what I thought they were but just couldn’t decide

However I thought (!) #1  was 267 - but see the 1 now....

I was sure #2  was 135

I thought #4 was 255 or 235

So today....

I agree #1 is 261

 2 is 136 or 236

3 I now think is 253 or 255
