I haven't seen enough IA Ordnance badges in the flesh, so to speak, to have an opinion on these two. The diffrence in toning is odd but not completely unknown - one a replacement or issued from two different lots originally might explain it. They were a matching pair darkened but I felt compelled to clean one to see the detail. I thought the darkening was patina through age but the finish made me think maybe they were produced with a darkened finish. Or were fake and intentionally darkened to appear of age. So. On this occasion I regretted my decision.
