Another over the top one, capture of Douaumont.... lots of very, very bloody fighting there later on, but the initial capture was a bit different...

Those of you who have done the Verdun tour know the great Pizza served just off to the right, 20m from the bridge... German long range artillery hits the town...

Hi,

1916. I think they must have been a 5th Armee production as a small pic of the Crown prince is in the top corner of each (on the back)
