Christian L
i would translate it with Front (front) K?mpfer (fighters) Buch (association) - and they most probably existed between the wars. nothing really specific, but i at least don't even know any kind of reference material about such items.christian

Gilles
Chris, eye and purse... but as it is only postwar, pre-nazi, freikorps and wehrwolf-free, you should be able to get it for a very reasonable price. Good luck.I think you'll be able to find it in Heering / H?sken's book on insignia.RegardsGilles

Histaria
This was misidentified as "Frontk?mpferbund" in the early (1977) booklet by Br?ggemann and Rowedder. The correct "Frontkriegerbund" i.d. appeared in the later membership pin book by Heering and H?sken. Variations are shown as #9604a, b, and c. The award is #27.131 in H?sken's Katalog der Orden and Ehrenzichen des Deutschen Reiches 1871-1945. I have also once had an event badge that had a large "FKB" but which also had the meaning completely spelled out as being for a Franconian war veterans bund. So, not every "FKB" is created equal. Eric Stahlhut
and i really like this pic. check out the glowering "heavy" scowling at the camera lens; i wonder where he ended up? all in all it's a great juxtaposition of poses that reflects the times.
