    Description

    Gents,

For my PhD, I’m looking for all possible items (documents, photos, letters, postcards, etc.), which are related to the former Commander of the East Asian Marine Detachement (“OMD”, “Ostasiatisches Marine Detachement”).

Kuhlo served in the former German leasehold  Tsintao and became Japanese POW after the capitulation in November 1914. He came back to Germany in December 1919.

Every items related to him are highly appreciate!

    Thanks in advance and br,

    Chris

Theres a photo album of German POWs on the forum hereabouts somewhere and somempaperwork. I remember Rick commenting on them as to the Germans in POW camps in Japan.

    Thanks for your kind reply.

Do you have any link or anything? There are a lot of POW-photo albums out there. But a Kuhlo-related album would be  like winning the lottery for me!

The former belongings of Kuhlo were scattered around the 1977s. I could get some award documents, promotion, his diary, several letters and postcards from approx. 10 different locations within Germany.

    Any hint would be great!

    BTW, you mean Rick "Research"?

    Best regards from Germany,

    Chris
