Shovel & Wheat Sheaves: national Labor Service 4 Years

This bronze device was used for a matter of months in 1940 to indicate the 4 years service medal. Any of these devices are rare, but because this was the lowest and most common class of R.A.D. long service award, it will be the most "commonly" (if I can use that phrase) encountered. See the silver 12 years device, as well as the regulation eagles for 18 and 25 year medals.
