    Eagle: Wehrmacht Army/Navy 10mm size

These TRULY tiny eagles are only 10mm wide. This unusual reduced size from the standard 15mm ribbons width was used to squeeze too many ribbons into a single row. See photos in wear illustration of Field Marshal Werner von Blomberg, for instance.

This particular petite pair is on a post-1938 ribbon bar for an Austrian WW1 officer in the Wehrmacht. Since Austria-Hungary had NO pinback wartime awards for soldiers, and a super-abundance of Jubilee, Mobilization, and post-WW1 commemorative medals, "too many ribbons" tended to be a "problem" for even very low ranking former Austrian veterans after 1938.

More commonly, a second row of ribbons was worn.
