EK Spange With Crown & Swords
Sometimes two devices have to be seen side by side to really appreciate them. This EK Spange is shown individually as "EK Spange: Variant 6," and the Prussian HHOX devices as "Crown & Swords: Prussian Gold 9."
For this ribbon bar in wear, see the Photos In Wear gallery "Buttonhole Ribbons 3."
Worn by Enno-Erich von Limburg-Hetlingen from at least 1941 to war's end. He received the German Cross in Gold in 1944 and the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross in the last week of the war as a mixed-Ostv?lker grenadier regiment commander.
The tiny lowest WW2 award beside his highest WW1 award makes quite a contrast!
