Wacky Fashion Idiosyncracies 02
For no "reason" whatsoever--and contrary to ALL regulations-- this highly decorated (Prussian Hohenzollern House Order 3rd Class with Swords in 2nd place and a Mecklenburg war cross in 3rd) career officer has chosen to freakishly place ONE full sized medal bar size Wehrmacht Long Service eagle across the TWO ribbons which should EACH have such a correctly sized eagle.
What was he THINKING?
This is precisely the sort of ribbon bar which--if we did NOT have a photo of Himself actually wearing it--we would dismiss as a twiddled with eBay monstrosity.
In my Clint Eastwood Categorization of ribbon bars as Good, Bad, and Ugly, THIS one is as UGLY as they come: a REAL, original period bar, but so amazingly out of regulations that it cannot be rationally explained!
