Do you have any interesting or a favourite photograph of a Saxon General with full regalia that you want to share? Maybe I can convince my brother to make a portrait of him. ciao, Claudio I forgot to mention that my brother already portrayed a Saxon high officer who later became General and during WW1 Saxon minister of war.   2. Perhaps sibfox is asking... what kind of uniform is it? The jacket is called a Tropical Mess Jacket and was worn to social events with a black bow tie and a white, wingtip shirt. The cummerbund belt is missing. The ensemble dates from before 1947 as the Bombay Light Horse Cavalry was disbanded when India gained its independence. .

  3. Hi Aniki, A Royal Naval Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (QE II type) exist since 1953-54. So, if HMS Drake was still active in those years and the recipient was still aboard then such medal could be issued to him.
