    1. Merv, The 2nd Cheshires served in South Africa. http://www.angloboerwar.com/units%20imperi...eshire_regt.htm All the best, Derek
    2. Have now checked the posting and realise it sold for ?63 and Robin was the high bidder - consider my wrists well and truely slapped.
    3. Robin, One just sold on eBay for c.?55. Lumsden's Horse are an interesting (and well collected unit). I have a couple of Queen's South Africa Medals to L.H. men in my collection. All the best, Derek (Don't know if you remember but I met you at HQ in Glenrothes a couple of years ago - I had the Special Constabulary Medal to Chief S.C. James Affleck)
    4. Jim, There appears to be two John Smiths on the 42nd Waterloo Roll. One served in Capt. and Lieut.-Col. Thomas F. Wade's Company, the other in Capt. James Stirling's Company. There are also at least two Pte. John Smith's on the MGS roll (one with single clasp Corunna and another seven clasp medal). All the best, Derek
    5. I have a Rhodesian GSM to a Selous Scout, 645029 CPL A. MUSENDEKWA. He qualified for his para wings No. 130 and is listed as a SGT. on the nominal roll in 'Pamwe Chete'. I'll try and post a photo later tonight. Derek
