Are there any photos of Major-General Ernst Roessler?
He was an Oberst in 1912 with IR of Voigts-Rhetz #79(3rd Hanover) and reached the rank of Major General by WWI.

Back from the digital desert...and maybe that's not a good thing. It's nice to be cut off from the net collective and only experience the nature and people that are right there in front of you.

It rubs me the wrong way to sell items from my collection, but if they are redundant or don't fit I have to let them go. I don't even remember how much I paid for them, but if a dealer has the comprable item for less, I'll beat that price. More items to come...

I might be getting familiar with the new computer and OS. In the meantime, I have three medal bars to show; A Schwarburg-Sondershausen (5) medal, German recipient with a Romanian and Swedish Olympic awards and finally a medal bar that I had before but with a new development.

I've been away and my computer crashed. I tried to revive it with new parts but it couldn't be resuscitated. (7 is 110 in human years). I’m still getting my new one broken in, but when I’m able I hope to photograph and narrate on three (3) Imp. German medal bars.

Back from a family vacation -visiting the coastline and islands of the largest (by surface area) freshwater lake in the world.

For three weeks now I’ve been trying to find an invisible (to me anyway) enemy in my computer. With consecutive anti-virus scans I think I’m clean. However, some of my programs have been damaged and need to be either repaired or re-installed.

That really tears it. They can already read faster than me as I read upside-down. (They read the book on the table and I sit across and follow along upside-down.) But my younger child corrected my German pronunciation. Either I learned it wrong or they are being taught a different dialect.
