      Alfonso XIII

Sorry to inform you that all the medals can not be from the same man. The San Hermenegildo medal (Top first left) is a 1953 model. The picture shows an early XX century uniform so only the other 3 medals can be from the man in the picture but as you know this is not a 100% sure. Regarding the (fondo blanco y gris) are clearly the instructions to the framer. Regards from Spain

    3. Hi. This is an arm badge around 1940-1950 for GASTADORES DE REGULARES of TETUAN.
    4. Hi; This one is a Franco era Naval merit order but is a kind of mixing. The breast star is a second class Franco Era (around 1960 to 1975). The sach belongs to a forth class (same period) and all together in a nice Franco era Box. Why do you think that this is not a Franco era merit ???
    5. Hi; Find some samples of the spanish naval merit order that you asked. http://www.todocoleccion.net/militaria-medallas/orden-merito-naval-epoca-anterior~x27127448 http://www.todocoleccion.net/militaria-medallas/banda-cruz-merito-naval-plata-franco~x27399270 http://www.todocoleccion.net/militaria-medallas/cruz-merito-naval-distintivo-blanco-epoca-franco-plata~x38125970 Please look for many more things on todocoleccion.net If you need any help please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards from Spain.
    6. I think that is better and cheaper to find spanish awards through the spanish collectors page www.todocoleccion.net. Is the naval merit white or red? I understand that white no war in 1965/1966 Is it first class (medall) or second class (breath star)? If you need any help do not hesitate to contact me. Regards
    7. Hi Ray; It is a big pleasure for me to help you or other collectors. If you have any query in the future please do not hesitate to contact me. Best Regards. Emilio
    8. Hi Ray; I have been collecting spanish military medals for the last 25 years so I really know very well what I am talking about. If the seller is spanish he probably know what he was selling to you. If he is a foreign seller probably he doesnt know the difference. The difference is big on price. The one you have is around 100-125 Euros, the one made after the spanish Civil War on Franco Era is the doble. Regards. Emilio
    9. Hi Ray; Sorry for my poor english. Images are a better explanation. See the diference between the two crowns. The red medal with a tipical Franco era crown (1938-1977) and the white one, same as yours with a King Juan Carlos I first era crown (1979 - 1989). Regards. Emilio
    10. Hi Ray; You can see it in the crown of the medal. Franco era crown was an open crown (imperial crown) and your medal has a close crown (royal crown) . This tipical crown has been used by the spanish manufacturers from 1979 till end of 80s. Best Regards. Emilio

    12. I do not use to clean sashes but this is not a spanish civil war medal but an early Juan Carlos I era around 1980. Best Regards.

      A haunted house

Hi Peter; I am sorry but this is not a house. You are looking a picture of General Moscardó office at Alcazar de Toledo after the siege of 2 months. Now Alcazar is the spanish general army museum and you can see the room on same conditions after 75 years. More information : http://noticias.lainformacion.com/politica/fuerzas-armadas/el-despacho-de-moscardo-uno-de-los-principales-atractivos-del-museo-militar-de-toledo_q6Fuo2FWEdSnis1ZHWMuG5/ Best Regards.
    14. Hi Burian87; This is a tipical Cejalvo Isabel la Catolica star around 1960-1970. The value of an Alfonso XIII period star is around 500 Euros so this one is around 200 Euros over it´s value. Good luck on Ebay. Best Regards. Padelman
    15. Hi North Denmark; This is Alfonso XII or Alfonso XIII kingdom. Around 1880 -1890. If you need more information please do not hesitate to contact me. Best Regards.
    16. Hi; I have Mr. Prieto Barrios new CD and I highly recomend it. With no doubt it is the best spanish medals, orders and awards work with plenty of color pictures and legal regulations. Gracias por el CD que he recibido a través del amigo Jaume de Barcelona.
