    1. Again in 1981, he receives a medal we have not shown here documented before. Colonel Giorgiev's "Merit In Border Guards Medal, cover first:
    2. Again in 1974; he is honored with a "Merit in Protecting Public Order" Medal. This one again retains its' plastic slip cover:
    3. His 1974 30 Years MVR Medal. Note this one is still in its' plastic slip cover.
    4. In 1971 he receives a 10 Year MVR Long Service Medal. Note the conspicuous absence (again) of a 15 & 20 year service Medal; despite what we will see shortly. The Ricks believe we are starting to see an interesting pattern within the MVR.
    5. Now what starts to get really interesting is in 1969, at 41 years of age, he receives an "Excellent MVR Employee" Badge:
    6. I thought this was a pretty interesting booklet, with these images of screw-back awards:
    7. At 22 Years old he was issued a (blank on dues) "Komsomol" Booklet. Perhaps to signify he had done this when he was much younger?
    8. Meet Georgy Tanchev Georgiev, perhaps they are brothers??? (!!!)
    9. Meet MVR Colonel Engineer Georgi Stoitsev Georgiev, a very interesting fellow:
    10. I don't really care for the color or "look" of that cross. The "wearer's copy" thing with this award is a little too prevalent for my personal tastes. Having said that, the bar itself looks very well made and probably original. I'd really like to see much larger images of the bar as well as the front/back of the GMVK
    11. Nice little set Mike and probably original together given the matching wear.
    12. The only thing that seems not correct is the precedence. Even during the Jubilee period, a Bavarian would not have mounted his SBM in second place... Having said that, as a whole, the bar looks fine. Just incorrect precedence
    13. The Red Banner that came with the set is under 10K, which if memory serves, was in the first big batch of bestowals. Unfortunately, even if research becomes available, the only confirmation would be of the award(s) shown, if that... possibly of rank.... there's no name on the pix :>(
    14. No name, came with all the medals shown and the Excellent MVR Employee Badge. Original to the man in the picture? We'll never know unless someday the Red Banner becomes traceable, In any event, one of my few MVR images! (No wonder he looks so unhappy... A Senior Sargeant in the People's Militia (only) at his age!)
