    1. There is a second maker using an almost identical pin but without the punch. I'm not convinced they are the same... we really have no precise information on the manufacturer as of yet. Excellent badge!
    2. So, without further ado.... a First Class, Type 2 (aka Second Emission)
    3. Yes Rick, I know that... but when we cross linguistic lines..... the majority of our Bulgarian and Russian friends use the word "emission"....
    4. Thanks Theodor! Sounds like school notes! Maybe paper was in short supply!
    5. Thanks, I understand what you are saying. So it is possible a Second Class, Second Emission would have been issued in this packet as opposed to a case?
    6. One other quick question. Would it have been strictly a Type 1 (First Emission with initials by the bust) or would a Type 2 (Second Emission) have come in the packet as well? Thanks!
    7. Seems a good place to tuck this... Paper & badge together. Is "People's Shooter" really the translation? Theodor, I'm sorry I missed your post, I have been away for awhile. I would love a translation on the document that goes with the artillery badge! The People's Shooter, Second Class:
    8. Thanks! The only other one I have seen i believe is posted earlier by you. Thanks!!!
    9. Les, I know, I know.... I think as time progresses, as the market continually gets flooded with fakes, newly made bars, etc. When a group shows up that is just... well, perfect. Prices will sail to the moon. New blood, lots of money.... and the rest of us will bemoan the "Good old days" At this point, I'll just concentrate on trying to retrieve pieces I sold. At least bring back home the ones I know to be good. Docs, groups, etc. to a flyer.... documented 1870 repeat spange.... this is like the Holy Grail for an EK collector! I expect this group to end up over 10K for all of it. Frankly, the 1870 bar and pix is the real prize IMO.
    10. I have seen only one other example. Is this a legit package?
    11. The photo has the exact bar... including the repeat bar! yep, uh, uh, uh.... Can you say AMEN my Brothers and Sisters?
    12. Oh yeah... I can't see the actual document in the pile.... but that may very well be the only documented 1914 EK2 Repeat bar to the 1870 EK2 we will see for a very, very, very long time....
    13. And that boys & girls.... is why we (A) rarely discuss active auctions, (B) ALWAYS click "View seller's other items" and © shop directly on the site.... because .... "This item is not available for purchase on eBay United States. Learn more about our accepted payments policy. View the original listing on eBay and buy this item on eBay Germany "
    14. Well that's really interesting. In this new photo it does not appear to even match the other image! Note that the comparison pix I made with your first closeup has what looks like a clear defect on the swastika. This new image the defect is not there! I will say I am much happier with this spange based on this new photograph.
