    4. Hi Bill, nice images, thanks for sharing them. I agree on the need for subterfuge on the part of anyone who escapes a repressive regime..... I think they would probably have family back home that must still live in fear of punishment. We see the same situation south of the US Border these days.

Thanks, Rick Here's the cover to an impressive folder that holds a four paged typed document that i have no clue about. Does the cover lend anything?
    7. He must have been a special soldier... in 1974, his town named him "Honored Citizen" and presented him this beautiful document and a key to the city. This award has only been given 50 times. the case/folder that holds the set is hand-tooled and sculpted leather.
    8. Oh yeah.... almost forgot. In 1948 he received his Orders Book for his 1945 Soviet Red Star! (unfortunately, this is the one piece missing from the group.
    9. He received his People's Liberty, Second Class, Type 1 in 1948 as Colonel and Commander of regiment.
    10. Kuzo Georgiev Denichin received his 9th September, Type 1, in 1956 as a full Colonel.
    11. I actually think this is the coolest piece. No matching badge or medal... just a Bulgarian Auto Club ID Card!
    12. 1988 ID Booklet as a member of the Retired Fighters against Fascism & Capitolism.
    13. Tucked in the back of one of the Party ID's is this pass giving him free transportation.... so much for equality of the people...
    14. 1976 and our Party Boy has made the Control & Revision Committee of the 11th Congress....
