I bring this one up for the experts. I never knew there was a oversized 1914 ek2. This is being sold by thor 1918 on ebay.de. A one piece, 4.5 by 4.5. http://cgi.ebay.de/Eisernes-Kreuz-2-Kl-191...1QQcmdZViewItem I bought 1 cross from him before.Said it was a E, turned out to be a partial G. mfg Scott

Thanks guys for the heads up.But also a question though.Take off the BMVK leave the rest, would that still be worth over a ?100? I did send the winner(?111) a message thru ebay that it was a fake. One thing that did strike me odd was that he was a private bidder, and he drove the price up. mfg Scott

Got out bid on this a little while ago on ebay.de.For me it looked real nice, and really would have liked to have won the auction. Again I ask the experts should I have gone a few euros more?Over 110 was too much for me.I really dont know what the better ribbon bars sell for. The medals for what I think they are. Bravery medal (gold or silver)? EK2 MVO3 with swords MVO4 with swords BMVK3 with swords and crown FF front

MVK1 Klass with Swords on ebay.de right now.TO me the unexperianced buyer. The enamel looks good.Sadly I dont have the money. But if I did I most likely would have bid on it. Would I have made a mistake?I see the small green spot on the right arm. mfg Scottp://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=270206141229&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=017ott http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...A:IT&ih=017

I just read a interesting article.(at least to me)From what I read he got the BMVK 3 class with swords on may 9,1918.My question is;he also got the medal of miltary services 3 class on 25.8.1918.,.Was there a reason he did not have a ribbon bar.He wore his 1st class with pride. http://www.humanitas-international.org/sho...ts/autolett.htm mfg Scott

I hope I did not make a big mistake.I normally stay on my ek2s.Often these pop up,But always go for more then I want or can spend at the time. I got this on ebay tonight and I think it went to cheap.113 euros, with a band. Now dont get me wrong,I think this is a period piece, not a 1920s piece. I try to do my homework and I hope I am right. So it is too late to say dont buy it. MFG Scott PS:did I make a mistake?

EK 1914 Any Ideas on this maker mark?
Scott P replied to Kev in Deva's topic in Germany: All Eras: The Iron Cross
Heres the front and back of my cross, one thing that I find interesting is. When you look at the medal ring on the reverse, its a tad bit off center to the left. The same as Kens cross. mfg Scott -
