    4. This might account for the difference: since the got the badge as a part of a UN lot I think it's may be a modern badge worn by the present day Jordanian army (as best as I recall the Jordanian army involved in allot of UN missions). I think that the badge on "Historama" is from the period in which the Arab Legion existed.
    5. It's indeed look like the coat of arms of the Arab Legion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arab_Legion

    9. Here are couple of new purchases, the 20 years to the founding of the DDR medal (or is it the badge?) and the NVA sport badge (in gold? or is it the usual color of all those badges?)

    11. It's actually a badge of "Banki" (Hebrew initials that stand for "The Israeli Communist Youth Alliance") the youth movement of the Israeli Communist Party.

    13. My latest purchase: Syrian campaign medal for the 1948 war with Israel
    14. Here is my Verdienstmedaille der NVA in silver. as you can see it's numbered on the back and marked 900 on the edge. since the medal number is quit low (00225) I think it's safe to assume it's an early produced medal. however I saw example of this medal where the "900" mark is stamped on the reverse side of the medal.
    15. Could anyone ID this medal? all I know that it's related to the town of Roggenburg in the Ederswiler canton and it's probably was issued in 1959.
    16. Not exactly a medal but nevertheless interesting. this is an original key chain from the period which the Aswan Dam was opened. It's depict the event.
    17. The para badge actually look like it's Israeli, could you post a close up pic of it?
