    1. I have now checked the rolls twice. Karl-August Nerger is actually not listed with a 1st class! Yes, I know he received MVK1, but it was never recorded. This is the first case that has been discovered so far. He probably received his MVK1 directly from the Grand Duke and then the inscription was forgotten. I don't know it. Sorry... Regards Seeheld

    7. This is an original Knight Cross with the Crown. The griffin Order don't know a Knight Cross 1st Class or 2nd Class. The maker is Rose. Most probably given to the Man in between 1904-1910. No of awards: 600+ after quick search in my database I found 2 Persons in Service for the Congo State 1. Derche, Emile Jules Vincent - dob 11.07.1867 - Mreira, Oberadjunkt im Dienste des Kongostaates - RKmK 21.03.1908 2. Engh, Dr. jur., Martin - dob 24.03.1874 - Kristiania, Chef de zone de 1ere class an Congo Belge - RKmK 19.10.1908 I guess No. 2 is the seached previous Owner. I'm really in Love with this lovely group!!!

    9. Very interesting, because his Knight cross was given back in 1909, after he received the knight cross with the crown! Here some Informations from my private database: Wickede, Bernhard Theodosius Friedrich von KDM41 from Mecklenburg-Schwerin in 1841 as Schwerin, Brigadequartiermeister He got his medal because of his service as a Hauptmann im ?. Landwehr-Bataillon, 1815. Further more he got also the LSC for Officers from Mecklenburg-Schwerin. * 23.10.1780 zu Poggelow ✠ 21.03.1863 zu Schwerin, according Ancrestry Regards Seeheld

    12. Actually I have 2 original crosses in my collection, but also the bad guys reading world wide... At the moment the fakes are really so far away from a genuine one, because they do not know how it is looking in reality. And this is good for us collectors. Regards Frank
    13. The MVK from Mecklenburg are actually very easy to identify and not a mine field. Almost all are fakes. This example is a very simple fake, which is very far away from original Crosses. Regards Seeheld

    15. I‘m not 100 percent sure, but for me it‘s for the Griffins Order from Mecklenburg. regards Seeheld I would buy it for my Collection.
