Kleinkaliber means small bore rifle..

it happens in elstorf near hamburg... it must be the 11th hussars... they stand in elstorf for a few days..

they also have a headquarter in a restaurant near Buchholz the restaurant called "hohe luft" and still exists.

from Elstorf they went on the Autobahn to Vahrendorf near Hamburg Harburg... there was a last offensive of a group "SS Hitlerjugend" called "Panzerteufel" (tankdevil)

theese both should be fired on the end of the war in my homevillage...
some stupid kids from the Hitlerjugend fired with Kleinkaliber rifles on a british jeep..
the revenge was 1 hour heavy fire by the britains...

the jewellery are lost... but the beautifull relief still exists...

the jewellery could be used today... but its better to hide the relief...

people in germany allways thought you must be a nazi when collecting such things... they didnt see the historical artefact...

but for me its part of the history...

the right one is an very known print from the Führer. pictures like those hang in millions houses...

the left one themes to be rare...

my grandfather 1938...

the military service just even ended... then came the postletter he has to arrived to Lübeck... and join the Pionier Bataillon 30.

He was "Pionier" and "Unteroffizier der Reserve"

Here an example what my grandmother collected...

its called Ehrentafel.

every german village has a Ehrentafel. it shows the belligerent (war veterans) and fallen soldiers.

Next two my grandfather is a picture from Heinrich Cohrs.

Heinrich was a friend of my grandfather and lives in the neighbourvillage. He was Kradmelder during the war. Someday in 1944 in Russia, my grandfather walked trough the camp and someone calls loud "Wilhelm... Wilhelm" my Grandfather turns off and saw his friend Heinrich... they never have seen eachother during the war.

Heinrich told him that he has to got to Germany next day and my grandfather gave him al letter for my grandmother...

some days later Heinrich visited my grandmother and gave her the letter with best wishes from my grandfather.

both.. Heinrich and my grandfather survived the war...

I still waiting for the letter of the WASt...

You´ll have to wait 6-10 month... themes they work very slow at the WASt

My Grandmother collected all about her housband...

there are newspapers, fieldpost, many photo albums... his bajonettes and many others.

photo albums sorted by region of war or events like Vereidigung and Heimaturlaub also from Lazarett...

I found the certificate of discharge...

I also have documents from the WASt in Berlin..

Boots from a russian offizier...

My grandfather took them from a dead russian soldier because his boots was broken.

He used these boots for a long time after the war on the field or by feeding the cow...

A must have for every german during the war...

Here is the Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen from my grandfather.

He has four different pieces. A heavy on of Zink and some light pieces of Buntmetal.

The Zink one was the one he wears during the war...

Here is a relief from the Führer Adolf Hitler.

Its livesized and the material is bronze...

The name of the carver is K.Kull. Its marked on the Führers collar.

As the britisch 11th hussars reached my grandparents hometown...

My grandmother buried theese relief, some weapons, silver cutlery and some jewellery in the garden.

The only thing she found after the hussars left the village was the relief.

Maybee a neighbour has seen my grandmother while she buried the things.

Here is a simple wooden chair from the Deutsche Luftwaffe.

This chair stands more than 60 years in the basement of my grandfathers house.

Near my hometown (a small village in the southwest from hamburg) was a Blohm & Voss airplanefactory and a small airport. Hundred of these chairs stand in the factory canteen...

After the war the civil people use those chairs as firewood...

My grandfather took one for his little workshop in the basement.

I knew these simple chair for all the years...

but it was a lucky concident that i found the Luftwaffe stamp on the underside ...
