    1. I have recently been given some things belonging to my grandfather Thomas Arthur Fitzgerald Service number 301698 who was in the Manchester Regiment, This includes two Manchester Regiment cap badges, they are very similar but the globes on the top are slightly different. He served from 12/9/18 to 21/10/15 and I wondered why there would be two badges. There is also a badge which says Dorsetshire , Marabou, with a sphinx on top which is a bit of a mystery as the family were in Manchester if this is a WW1 cap badge is there a list somewhere showing the names of soldiers in that regiment. Our family name is Fitzgerald I know my father was in the Gordon Highlanders, my uncle was in the Borders Regiment so Dorsetshire is a bit unknown. I have my Grandfather's Victory Medal without a ribbon and a ribbon on its own which appears to be from a British Army Medal but unfortunately no medal, I would love to know where it is. I know this says Gentleman's Military Interest Club but I am actually a lady, The cap badges were part of a number of items which have been sitting in the loft of a complete stranger who I located through Ancestry co uk they have been there for about 15 years after a relative died who I had lost contact with.
