    1. Wow that is an amazing grouping  all those photo's as well,2 HRC are they both worn? I have a named DKIG in cloth in my care ,He also made it onto the Honour Roll But died before he made it to RK,it made me wonder if he too was recommended for an RK but got the HRC instead.Fantastic that you are telling this mans story, quite an important grouping this one thanks for showing.

    3. Hi

I have spoken to Jim in WAF and I have been using his work for reference for sometime without realizing,he also sent me a PDF of his Spange collection, and he's also on German daggers forum gallery as I am sure you know. His work his invaluable for the Spangen collectors for sure thanks for the new link.I think the ribbons may have been sewn together after removal from the tunic but of course can't be sure. This must be an early KVK2 ribbon as its orange through out and not faded as was pointed out to me by another collector. Not seen the WW1 combined woven before, interesting thanks for showing.

    4. This is the cloth German Cross in gold of Major Adolf Mugge. Since acquiring this cross I have found out the following information on Major Mugge.

      Born 01.16.1907,

      DKig Mügge,Adolf, 08.11.1943, /Gren Major, I..Rgt. 590

Major Mugge Army Honor roll 27.071944.11./Gren.Rgt 1057

Sadly Major Mugge did not survive the war, I have not found out the circumstances of his death but I know he is buried in the Wehl Cemetery near Hameln Germany which is appropriate for me as I kept pet rats for 20 years(Pied Piper).I want to travel to visit his grave at some point and have donated to the German war graves commission in memory of all the brave men who died fighting for their country. The cloth cross has lost or never had the twisted bullion thread around the wreath but has that well known Junker wreath with the die flaw on the 9.I have also found there are enough unique variations to determine it is the cross in the photograph and not from his other uniform.I would appreciate any further information on Major Mugge.

    6. Thank you for your welcome,I guess you could say this is just the tip of the small Iceberg.I focus mainly on Ek's,Spangen and Rohm Daggers,I have a couple of partials SS and SA and I'm on hot pursuit of a full one.Hard to resist this Clasp not seen any others like it yet would love to find an EK2 Ost combination.I was directed here by another member and I like to share my 'Booty' so I will be posting more and looking into membership.

    7. These are two of my favorite pieces which I would like to share a cased and cartoned EK1 by C F Zimmerman and an unmarked Ek2 which still has it's price written in it and is unused even still has some burs on the frame. It is also on Wehrmact Awards information gallery when it was in the Allan Pilch collection.Grateful to Steve at Past Glories for these, always first class service and good prices I use him a lot. :D
