    1. What a noticeable difference in the cases! Nice stuff Ralph! Mike
    2. Question for those in the know---how often is the Centennial-Wedding medal-incorrectly placed on a Baden bar? Damn--what a can of worms! LOL Mike
    3. Humm--I have not seen that medal on a solid yellow ribbon before--interesting to say the least. Mike
    4. Interesting bar. Are the medals not in the correct order?? You guys lost me on this one. But that is easy to do as I am not a medal bar guy! I would have to think, with the input from those in the know, that this bar, either good or bad, was put together as a one of a kind..??? Most likely home made??? Mike
    5. Interesting bar--what is the medal under the solid yellow ribbon? Did not realize that there was a solid yellow ribbon other than the Centennial medal. Learn something new every day I guess. Like the Baden bars! Mike
    6. Great thread Stogie! Thanks for explaining what is wrong with the ribbon bars. Since I don't eat, drink and sleep ribbon bars, it really helps to understand what is wrong with them! Keep it up! Mike
    7. This is a field that I kinda fell into one day. I have a few Imperial Reservist pipes and found a lighter. Well it has slowly gown (still small) but I enjoy them anyway! Please post your smoking goodies! Mike First some trench art type lighters...
    8. Chet, that is a beautiful medal bar. Looks like your collection is growing nicely! Great find! Mike
    9. The more I see the Turkish awards the better I like them. Just somthing about them that is interesting. Not a big medal bar fan, but really like them on German medal bars. Thanks for sharing them. Mike
    10. Interesting Rick, so if I understand you correctly, this bar was a mini medal bar with no medals? Were they sewn on as there are no clips or hangers? Mike
    11. Rick! I can't belive that it finally showed up. I figured it was shreaded and in a land fill by now! So glad that you got it as I can't think of a better place for it to be! One side thought--only .60 for ninety days in the postal system--such a deal!! Mike
    12. I picked this 2 place ribbon bar up lately and don't remember seeing one like this before. While the medals represented are not uncommon, I thought that I would share this bar with everyone. Ribbon bar is approx 1 3/4 x 1 inch in size. Would like to see other examples of this style of ribbon bar. Thanks, Mike
    13. That is interesting Rick! They seem to have used plastic a lot for pinbacks and such. They do this to cut cost or problems in getting the correct material? Mike
    14. There were other letters and such but here is the award document dated July 1918
