    1. Hello Everyone. It's been 9 years, but I am back! I was finally able to locate the original image and made some high-res scans. The Google Docs link below has the new copies, though still blurry. Hopefully this will help identify the unit. Again, this is John Joseph Kelly born 1871 Athlone, Westmeath, Ireland. He went to the US, arriving in 1891. High Res Images: https://photos.app.goo.gl/2jAEKpBL4q8s5WYW7
    2. I found the original post from 9 years ago. Just uploaded links to the high-res scans.
    3. JF42 - Thank you very much! I really appreciate the effort you put into it. This gives me plenty to look into further. Hopefully, I'll be able get my hands on the original photo and get a better scan. Thanks again!
    4. Hello Mervyn, Thanks for taking the time to reply. If you get a chance to look through the books, that would be great. I appreciate the help! Robert
    5. jf42 - Thank you very much for your insight. I'll try to find the original, not sure who in the family has it, I only have a scan to work with. From family accounts, all I have is that he was in the English army before coming to the US and joining the Irish 69th Regiment for the Spanish American War. I'll also try the site you recommend. Again, thank you for taking the time to provide the information you did. Robert
    6. Sorry - I meant to post that. John J Kelly born January 1871 in either Dublin or Moate, Westmeath. Thanks for the quick reply!
    7. Trying to find out some information on my Great Grandfather's Photo. I believe it was taken around 1890. I know the photo quality isn't great, but any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! ' alt='' class='ipsImage' > ' alt='' class='ipsImage' >
