The AM is for Air Ministry making it airforce issue originally.
It looks quite solidly built to have been something else originally and the stamp does look quite neatly positioned. Would the Air Ministry have been involved in issuing children's gas masks?

Thanks a lot Jonas, we had thought 7.62 as well but it didn't look quite right. I suppose if it's Swedish they might use something that fires a short round?
Thanks again,
Michael

Thanks a lot Peter, hope you're feeling better soon.
I've had a quick look at the site and I'm wondering if it could be D sqn (Northumberland Hussars) which comes under The Queen's Own Yeomanry.

BRADFORD CITY POLICE
in Great Britain: Mervyn Mitton's British & Colonial Police Forces

Hi All,
I have just found this thread and the photos of the fantastic collection of badges @SCcollector has posted.
I'm trying to get hold of a KC Bradford police cap badge and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction?
It's to go in a frame with some medals so I don't really want a helmet plate, it's too big.
Thanks for the help,
Michael
