It's a good but well worn tombak Schwerin.
The condition is not that great but it is original.

Ludolf Petersen served on the Hamburg-America freighter "Kiel",which broke the British blockade in 1939.
He went on to serve as a prize officer on the "Lutzow" and "Admiral Scheer".
He then served as a prize officer on the Hilfskreuzer "Pinguin",and made it back to Bordeaux where he bacame the 1st officer on the "Stier".
Hence his awards.
I have a bunch of documents and photographs of crewmen from the "Stier".

Hi gents,
hoping for a little help here.
My dad passed away back in February. His medals always hung in a frame on the living room wall.He served in Korea and spent over 20 years in the reserves.
However, when cleaning out draws at the home in England i was able to find his "Certificate of Service" book.
Inside the book i found a ribbon bar with the GSM ribbon on it,but dad never had a GSM on his medal bar.
I am back in California now but this has me confused and i am wondering if there is any way i can find out if dad was awarded the GSM ?
is there a contact number for the MoD perhaps.
Any help woud be appreciated.
Thanks,Martin.

Hi Martin,
I am looking at a WW 1 award with the same hinge set-up, and would like to know what the source is for attribution to Deumer???
Regards,
Chuck
Hi Cuck,
i do not have the badge anymore but i posted it another forum many years ago and the more knowledgable members in regards to Wound Badges declared it to be a Deumer Product.
Regards,Martin.

I think 650 euro is a decent price.
Just looked at a couple of examples for sale on a friends' Canadian website.
Both are in similar condition to the one above and are selling for 595-655 USD.
he had another nice boxed example that was going for 1190.00 USD.

Hi Martin,
Thank you for your words. I'm glad you gather a little because it shows that you are still interested in the hobby!
Best from Norway,Morten.
I still have a great interest in the hobby Morten.
At my ripe old age i just do not buy so much anymore.
I still have a fine collection and i am perfectly happy with that.
Thank you all and best wishes.
