    1. It is five years on, but in the meantime I have done a lot of family research. Just to add some more clarification on the discussion about the documents relating to Erich Nath's documents that have been displayed in the thread above: My great grandfather has been residing in Danzig, Wallgasse 3a, from the early 1920ies until 1945, as stated in the DLRG-documents of the Erich Nath in question. Erich Nath has been a nephew of my grandfather. I have no information where Erich Nath has served as a P.O.W., but given the fact that his documents have found their way to the U.S., one can assume that he must have been captured by the western allies.
    2. Hello tyanacek, I am not so sure whether the member from Lithuania who answered in 2012, and who has the same family name as I is right in his assumption. My father's family being natives of Danzig who had been residing in this city since the 1870ies had to flee from the advancing Russian troops in March 1945. Actually I can confirm 100% that I am related to the Erich Nath to whom the documents in this thread are attributed. Erich Nath was my father's cousin. Erich Nath was flying in Junkers JU-87. Later in the war, he was commissioned as Leutnant. He died in 1997 in Augsburg. I only met him once in the 1960ies. As my further family was dispersed all across Germany, some of the male mebers returning after years from imprisonment as POWs in the USSR, there are only few details I know about him, the last of which I was able to confirm with one of the last family members from his generation only yesterday.
