Hallo Sonja, herzlich Willkommen in diesem Forum! Allerdings muss man sich hier erst einmal über Begriffe unterhalten. Den Dienstgrad Sergeant Major gab es in der sächsischen Armee nicht. Wie ich einem anderen Forum entnehme, in dem diese Frage auch schon diskutiert wurde, handelt es sich bei diesem angegebenen Dienstgrad um eine Übernahme aus einer französischen Quelle. Mit dem französischen Segeant Major ist der höchste Unteroffizier-Dienstgrad in der sächsischen Armee gemeint. Damit handelt es sich wohl um einen Dienstgrad wie z.B. Offizierstellvetreter. Das ist aber ein Unteroffizier-Dienstgrad. Die von Dir angeführten Ranglisten führen nur Offiziere auf, keine Unteroffiziere. Daher sind Ranglisten für Deine Suche nicht brauchbar, wenn er nicht irgendwann Offizier geworden ist. Hier können nur, wenn überhaupt, Regimentsgeschichten weiterhelfen. Soweit mir bekannt, gibt es Bücher über das Königlich Sächsische 1. I've tried it with several methods, to recognize the 4 digits: X-rays, ultrasonic, special metal surface methods; no results. Also specialists of a technical university which help the criminal investigation department in search for distant chassis numbers of cars brought no result. Based on mondvor.narod.ru it is type 3, variant 1, version 2 (Тип 3, Вариант 1, Разновидность 2) And there is a story behind this Lenin order. I hope, that the story is true, but I really don't know it. There is a letter with two pages, written by an East German man to his West German friend in 1949.
