    5. Hi Brian: "Is that an Oldenburg Cross 1st Class the fellow is wearing?" I think, it is the first class of the Prussian War Veterans Organisation. Uwe

    7. Sergeant 08, I'm not interested in splitting hairs: http://en.wikipedia....Political_party That is the first sentence: A political party is a political organization ... Uwe
    8. Hi Sergeant 08, yes, I think, that it is a member's badge. I found some small local organizations early in 1933, combinations of NSdAP and other national parties against KPD and SPD, e.g.: http://weimarer-repu..._fruehjahr_1933 Please, there is a copyright. Uwe
    9. Hi Sergeant 08, it is a member's badge, based on Heering/Hüsken 1997 Nr. 4117 c) Uwe
    10. Hi Speedy, I think, that you can see both in the first picture: Pionier-Bataillon Nr. 12 and (parts of the) 5. Königlich-Sächsische Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 64 Pionier-Bataillon Nr. 12 in four "blocks" on the right, and a delegation of the 5. Königlich-Sächsische Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 64 in the foreground on the left with the regimental music. Uwe
    11. Oh yes, "die Maikäfer", the Garde-Füsilier-Regiment, still in November 1917, in 293 mm x 425 mm (!): Uwe
    12. 14. Hi Justin, first, there is no "issue" of 1957 awards. There is only the allowance, to wear specified decorations, some of them (only Third Reich decorations) with a changed design, these pieces with a changed design are shown in the list here: http://www.ordensmus...16Jan0857er.pdf It is correct, that there are some decorations in the "Beilage", where it could be, that there has never been an award. That was a special "political" decision in that time, I think, out of deference for veterans organizations. Uwe
    15. Hi Ulsterman, sorry, but there is no correspondence! The first one is the hanger for the medal below, may be an eagle. There is no correspondence for the next two marked crosses with the ribbons. Uwe
    16. Hi Freiwillige, the uniform? I will show you only one example, but you can find thousands of them in the German internet: http://www.verberg.d...zenfest2004.htm Please start the slideshow! In German shooting associations you can find all ranks, from soldiers to officers to generals and field marshals. With different uniforms and different weapons like sabres, swords, daggers etc. Uwe
    17. Hi David, German laws like the "Ordensgesetz" from 1957 are for all Germans, in uniform or in civilian clothes. Armed forces do have additional regulations, especially for the "amount" of decorations, the order of precedence and the way of wearing them. KR Uwe
    18. Hi Freiwillige, please see all the identical ribbons! Therefore I think, that there is nothing military or are in another way "official". OK, they were awarded from the shooting association(s), but there seems nothing to be official! You could (and can) buy such "awards" in several shops all over in Germany: http://www.steinluec...?unterrubrik=49 http://www.steinluec...?unterrubrik=51 http://www.steinluec...?unterrubrik=50 http://www.steinluec...?unterrubrik=73 etc., etc. Uwe
    19. Hi Klink, welcome to the Forum! There had never been a reissue of Third Reich awards in Germany post 1945. With the "Ordensgesetz" from 1957 it was only allowed to wear several decorations, most of them in a changed design without Nazi emblems. It was and is a private initiative to obtain these awards, originals/copies or 1957 versions. Uwe
    20. Hi, it looks like a "Cotillon-Orden", done in metal or cardboard: http://www.zwsw.de/1.../1000110276.php Uwe
    21. Hi, it is correct: 12. Lehrgang der Kreisschule Swinemünde 18.-20.10.35 Uwe

    23. Hi Heiko, it seems to be very unusual for a German . Belgium, Miltary Cross: http://users.skynet..../B-OthLeo2.html Uwe
    24. Hi Dan, sorry, but the VVO in Post 220 is twice not correct. First it is a wrong replaced ring (to big). Secondly it is a wrong medal to the bar or the other way round. For this medal with the granular reverse fits only another ribbon bar, as you can see in Post 135 (no srews): http://gmic.co.uk/in...pic=8727&st=120 Uwe
