    1. Shane, I hate to say it, but I'm not diggin' the reverse of your badge. Can we get a shot of the hinge? Hope I'm wrong.
    2. Ha Ha! Ooops! Yep, you're right Rich! I didn't look very closely! Drinking and posting can be a bad thing!
    3. Original, but not really attractive looking IMO. As long as you like it. GWL are not my favorite, but even then, there are better examples of this particular badge.....
    4. Dave, It's actually a second pattern badge, with more tombak showing through than normal, which is fine as long as it's not a result of over cleaning by an ambitious collector. Asking what it is worth is a tough question. THE right guy might pay a million dollars for it...which equates to about Euro 670.
    5. Scott, Johnny is right. Here you can see the Assmann wreath....as a matter of fact this badge may look familiar to you JTW? BTW, really nice photos John!
    6. My sister just got back from a Chippendales show and swears she saw him there!!!??? She says she also saw Jos? Old as dust and still getting around! (not you Jos, the other guy). Kidding aside....dammit Eric! I was going to mention the second pattern Assmann thing, now I have nothing to add but bad humor! Why the hell are there so many shots of this dude floating around?
    7. I can't imagine that they are making re-pros this good. I'm not crazy about the catch, but agree that it might be late war.
    8. Super nice badges everyone! Left: DD Right: DD Back JD Fwd: J2
    9. Yep, back down to 3. Always looking for the perfect badge. Absolutely love the three I have now though! No new pics as the collection and camera are put away, but here are a few.
    10. I've had 5 OM's and of the 5 two were cased. One was in the case shown by Rich with the blue border.
    11. Here's an OM & spange attributed to Oblt Heinz Oloff, Night Fighter NJG/1 with either 10 or 14 kills depending on where you get your info. His bronze spange is floating around out there. Anybody know where I can get my grubby hands on it?
    12. A little eye candy. R.K. Standard case. Got the two separately.
    13. OK, OK, I admit it. I have no life and stare at OM pilot's badges 23 hours a day!
    14. The main two give-away's are the wing-tip on the left and the way the swasi dips behind the wreath. This shot is from a different angle so the wingtips aren't obvious, but check out the valuted-ness of the swas!
    15. "rivet hole going through the large "A"... thus the need for the the second smaller maker mark." Thanks JTW. Sometimes, when the rivet easily goes through the large "A"....it's true, you need to go out into the world and find a small "A". They are not easy to find in this day and age....butt well worth the effort. ...lest you strap a 2x4 to your own small "A". JK, nice eyeballs JTW, there is indeed a large "A" lurking behind the rivet!
    16. Student, Is that Wilhelm Beier pitured above? A great shot of the rare OM pilot's badge in wear.
    17. A small "A" can be a good thing....then again a big "A" can be good too. A small "A" with big "T"s or a big "A" with small "T"s looks out of proportion though. I guess it's all relative. Of course for about $6000 you can get the small "T"s made bigger, but it's hard to get the big "A" made smaller. Usually the small "A" gets bigger over time.....kind of like starting out with low blood pressure, I guess. That's why you have to consider personality, or a frontal lobatomy. Francois, does she talk alot? If she does, I'll bet she doesn't speak French!
    18. Everything is 100%. I especially like the personalized dagger. Now that we agree on the "items", I'd love to hear the "story"!
