    1. Thanks again Enzo for the information. Google translate: The 2nd campaign battalion. During the fierce combat against the preponderant enemy forces, they crossed terrain intensely hit by enemy fire several times to maintain the connection between the various departments, eliminating with the throwing of hand grenades a group of enemies who attempted to block their path, fulfilling the own task with enthusiasm and contempt for danger.
    2. Hi Got no idea if it is original and the battle where he earned it. Any idea of a citation? I am so out of my depth here, any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Chris
    3. Hi Top one is civil medal for service Middle one is for Headmen Last one is for Chiefs I dont know for what or why they were given out , but that is their descriptions.
    4. Hi There were a few WW1 unnamed medals stolen from the stores in SA, a few years ago. They do come now and then on the market, here in SA. 1914 -1915 Stars , BWMs and BVic medals. Chris
    5. Never seen it before. Looks like late (small) naming with their service number from WW2. Can't think that there was naming done in 1994. New ones wouldn't have such big service numbers on, Not a lot of persons in the Black Powder club, well not in their ten of thousands anyway. So the question is, did they took original ASMs and modified them? Or did they created a new die, that looks like the ASM, to stamp new 'medals'? Very weird.... Chris

    8. Hi all I think there was also a Maj Gen du Toit, that served in the liaison office in Japan during the Korean war. Seeing that Gen Moll was mentioned. Chris
