    1. The regimental history of FR 80 by Dechend is now online https://orka.bibliothek.uni-kassel.de/viewer/!image/1710782407611/1/-/
    2. I did see on some page there was no commander mentioned and v.B. as etatm. Stabsoffizier. As my focus lies with the careers of (former) kurhessian officers, I did not look into this. The GGT are online as well? Or do you have access to them in a library close to you?
    3. Did you find the additional sources online as well? The Gotha and the Handbuch on verwaltungs- und Justizbeamten?
    4. Great, Thanks! Could you provide a link to the source? Would like to add it to my bio on him on my site. That would be his brother. They are both on my site
    5. Good afternoon! I found the complete career of Oberst v. BASTINELLER here. However no data on his ODM. I would like to know if there is a chance of finding these out since the Oberst died in 1850. Hoping for some advise, David
    6. Thats a great addition! Is this from the ranklists as well? He was the son of the General. Although he was ennobled as R. v. Helmschwerdt, the t seem to have been dropped early on. Its not uncommon.
    7. Hi! Thanks for your efforts! So his final prussian odm ROA4 DAK EK2 Could you provide the source you found the details about him? I would love to add these to his entry on my website later on. Maybe he dropped the former civilian part of his last name. His father however was ennobled with the additional predicate of v. H. in 1818. Anyway R.v.H. was the name our later colonel was born with in 1823. Thanks again David
    8. Good morning I am looking for career and ODM on the officer mentioned, who commanded DR 6 in 1870/71 Much obliged! David
    9. Hi I am looking for the regimental history of this regiment, especially for mentioning of the career of Oberst (Generalmajor) Wilhelm v. DONOP (d. 1863) Thanks so much in advance David
    10. Good afternoon! I am looking for information about the military units of the GD of Oldenburg, more specifically any mentioning of the mobilisation against Luxemburg in 1831. Hoping you could help me out David
    11. Many of you know about my era and area of interest. Some of you know about the website I started. This thread will serve as a place to announce updates on a regular basis Just now I completed the page on the kurhessian Husaren-Regiment 1803-1806, with some analyses and links to sources. https://kurhessen.owlstown.net/pages/1897 Enjoy and tell me what you think of the information and presentation. .
    12. It appears that in the early 1830s, there were paintings of the Befreiungskriege installed in the Louvre. Appearently, the King of France admired the paintings and the actions of german units. This is said to have been the cause for some FEL promotion and awards. E.g. the kurhessian later Generalleutnant Bauer was promoted in the FEL. He wore only his royal FEL in later pictures as I recall. Could the reason for showing to different grades of the FEL at Seebachs entry in the ranklist mean that he wore his imperial FEL5 and his royal FEL4?
    13. Would you happen to be able to provide a link to this information? I would like to add it to the other sources I mentioned at the end of his bio entry on my website.
    14. Where did you read the PLt date? He was born at Kammerfrost. So that sounds ok https://kurhessen.owlstown.net/pages/1897 Read his entire bio here.
    15. Thanks! From which regimental history is this? Do you know if there is a mention in the regimental history for the artillerie as well? Appearently, the mobilisation was the case for developing an extra batterie.
    16. 1 year festungsarrest no less! Quite the type. Would it be possible.to find put the reason for his conviction? Or for the fact he got promoted to Major after leaving service 20 years later? Thanks a lot, Glenn
    17. Hi Seeheld! I am looking for the mentioning of the mobilisation of 1831 in regimental history and info on the officers involved. The info I have gathered on the subject so far can be found here: https://kurhessen.owlstown.net/pages/1831-mobilmachung
    18. Good evening! Although the mecklenburg-duchies are not my specialty I would like to know if there are Stammlisten available for the M-S units (cavalry, infantry and artillery) pre 1871. Hoping you could help me out! Regards David
