    1. Trying to figure out what this is and what medals these ribbons denote . . . marked "Italia" on the back: Thanks in advance for any comments.
    2. Interesting! Many thanks! Thanks for that! I'm going to see about selling or trading this, as it doesn't fit my area, but it has been interesting to learn about, I have to say!
    3. Thanks! Not many coming up. Anyone have an idea of value? Would the Luftschutz have been sort of like Home Guard?
    4. Thanks! How can you tell or what makes you think so? I was trying to match up by pictures, but I don't know all the little details to pay attention to.
    5. Beautifully made out of wool like you never see now! From looking online, I'm thinking it is a pre-TR Kyffhauserbund armband? Hope this is the right board to post this in, but I would welcome any information about this piece. My appreciation in advance. Cheers! Back:
    6. Don't know anything about this other than that it is a Luftschutz armband and has a "B" sewn on it in white. Any help with further ID is welcome! This is not my realm of collecting, so I'm a complete newbie. Appreciate any thoughts. Cheers! Back:
    7. I figured it wasn't! But then I figured maybe someone didn't know how to change their settings.
    8. For anyone unfamiliar with how to change their notification settings . . . it is VERY easy to turn your notifications on or off or make adjustments. Simply go to your profile and click the "Account Settings" button in the upper right corner of your profile banner area: Then click the "Notification Settings" towards the right center area: Here you see all the options for notifications and you can click the little arrows to view options for each type of notification option! You'll see "No notifications received" OR "Notification List" AND/OR "Email" under each heading. That is what is selected for your account for that type of communication. (The Notification List is the little bell up by your avatar in the top right of the forum pages): These are very easy to change and take literally seconds to adjust!
    9. Would be critical of security measures. Since the Covid shut-down, online hacking has sky-rocketed, and security measures are even more vital! Only a couple of years ago, my sister and I were (still are) active on a pin trading forum, and it was hacked. The hackers tapped into old accounts (where members hadn't signed in for an extended period) and they succeeded in editing and deleting entire sections. Irretrievable. The forum upgraded and put more security in, but it really impacted the whole forum community and sad to say - it hasn't been the same. So it is vital to get a handle on old, no-longer-used accounts. Totally understand!
    10. Hi, again! Just need a little help from someone who knows these medals. Do you think this is a WWII-era one?
    11. Oh, thanks ever so much! Appreciate this, as I was really hoping these were French medal ones and not a US ROTC thing. Also interesting about the early button type! I wondered about the differences!
    12. Trying to figure out what these two service women are who were seen at the entrance to Westminster Abbey during the Queen's Funeral yesterday. The uniforms look really like WWII uniforms, and we've been trying to ID them. Anybody know what these are?
    13. Thanks for the information! I wasn't sure, as I don't really know a lot about British medals. I only have one WWII one, and did get a copy of an MC (not an original). I'll do some looking for the Platinum Jubilee medal! I have something different from her Coronation, Silver, Golden, Diamond . . . thought it might be fun to try for a medal for the Platinum.
    14. Question about the Queen's Platinum Jubilee medal. Can you own one if you weren't awarded it? Also, if you are - can you get one? I know some British medals are made in unofficial strikes/repros.
    15. Thanks so much! So appreciate that! I'm thrilled! Is the one missing a crown on the metal end or is that just a difference of maker?
    16. Hi! Here are pictures of the last two that I have, and I'm hoping that these are MEdaille Militaire. There is a difference to the brass end, as one has a crown and one does not. Do you think these are for the Medaille Militaire? Thanks for any help! Really appreciate it!
    17. Thanks so much! I really appreciate it, as this is not my area. Would you say $60 would be fair?
    18. Wondering if anyone can help me figure out the era of this British Police helmet. I don't know about these things, and can't seem to find pictures of one with an inside like this. Any thoughts appreciated! Thanks in advance!
    19. Thanks so much! That makes me think of one more question to ask . . . is the cord weave different for the WWII version or was there only a version for the WWI medal? And do you think the yellow ones (or one of those) is for the Medaille Militaire?
    20. I am hoping that I have a Croix de Guerre and Medaille Militaire in this pile . . .but that's where I need help! Any thoughts on if these are these medals and if they are, any thoughts on eras? I took close-ups showing the different metal tips, too, in case that says something about them. Also . . . I think the Red and Green ones have two variations in the actual red/green cord. One of one type and two of the other. The red stripe is choppy where the other two the red is a continuous stripe. Do you think that means they are for two different medals or just different cord weaves? Thanks for any input! I don't know anything about these!
    21. Here is a chart showing some of the Army War College DUI variations!
    22. Oh, this matches what I'm leaning towards. Does the back of the medal say something? I'm thinking it should say "Ricordo"
