    1. Hey! The information should be with the national archives, they have done alot of new registering of the documents or something along those lines, so in my opinion and experience, yes it is possible but ONLY for the civil guard MERIT medal, other civil guard badges cannot really be tracked, maybe some numbers are mentioned in the Kansalliskirjasto, but those are only a few and require alot of work.
    2. Hey Johan! I can't research any medals, a friend possibly can, the Finnish National Archives has atleast some documents so it's possible to find out a recipient with the numbering of the civil guard merit medal.
    3. Hey Christer Did you also manage to get the larger medal bar? It is possible to find out the recipient with the numbering on the civil guard merit medal.
    4. Hey Christer, old stuff but great! Would it be possible for me to use the photo of colonel Gilbert Hamilton, in an upcoming book about military history of Vihti, Hamilton is in a crucial role aswell as he tried to breach the defences of Kalkkimäki here. So there will be a section about him. Let me know! Regards Aleksi
    5. I recently acquired these Finnish ribbon bars, and i have been trying to Find out the provenance, i have stumbled upon 3 jaegercolonels who might be the original owners. Ragnar Wahlbeck, Håkan Wahren, Aksel Vuokko. I need help on this! Thank you!
    6. Do you guys think this 1st class is authentic, its a shame the pin is missing. Condition is meh, can i get some help to figure out the maker, is it authentic and what the value could be
    7. Hello Peter, ive been looking for a grand cross and a neck badge, do you know where i could find them? And what prices are they usually?
    8. I would agree that the winter war era 1939 grand cross (suurristi) is more rare, but thr 1941 is more common.
    9. Oh thats cool, could you maybe posti pictures of it, would really like to see if its similiar to mine or more like the example in jani Tiainens suomen kunniamerkit book.
    10. Hi guys. I recently bought 1918, 1st class cross of liberty. Belonged to a german veteran. But it is an replacement from the 1920s by godet because the original went missing. How many of the 33 germans who got the 1st class wouldve ordered a custom made for the lost one? Theres one example in Jani tiainens Kunniamerkit book. I also asked Jani and he told me it is also made by godet but mine is a bit better quality. Ive got it with the 1918 freedoms medal etc

    12. Hi i recently acquired an first class of the cross of liberty from 1918, its very similiar to the one in Jani Tiainens book, about a replacement one made in germany in 1920s, but mine has a finnish centerpiece, could this be an prototype?
