    5. You guys are too kind!! Leigh I do have steel capped work boots, where are you hiding ??? The Officer M43 cap in the first lot of photos is photographed in Angolia's Luftwaffe Volume 1, and was part of his collection when it was photographed for that book, the RK and DKiG were awarded to Luftwaffe ace Otto Wuerfel. The tan para is a North Africa veteran bring back. I have just got back from a trip to Queensland so haven't checked in for a while, sorry!! Best wishes Bob
    6. Thanks guys, the Soldbuch was just something I used to fill the gap, it was actually for a soldier in the Panzer-Grenadier Division Brandenburg, and as of last week, now lives with Neil S, co-author of the Waffenrock book by Bender. Bob

    12. Great pick up Scott, I can't add any info on him for you though! Good hunting Cheers Bob
    13. Unit marked inside the liner, or on the chinstrap, that would be indeed unusual for a later war helmet, very nice M42 by the way, it would be hard to upgrade that one! Bob
    14. Great photos Francois and Jos, I have never seen a good set out here in Australia, I got pinged with a couple of sets of the bad tropical trousers with aluminium fittings some years ago when they first hit the market, but never owned a good set, your pocketless set are perfect Francois ! Yes I am looking forward to John's book coming out, it will be a real breath of fresh air for anyone wanting information on tropical Luftwaffe items, he has a breathtaking amount of knowledge in this area, how about tropical jump smocks, how rare are they, he will cover this in detail too, it does hurt a bit to see one of my old friends (the tan helmet) on the cover, at least I know John will look after it! Bob
    15. And will close with a photo from within one of the mags, a nice shot of an early M35 helmet being worn be a Luftwaffe standard bearer.... Cheers Bob
